Warm Up Cycling

Established in 2009, Warmup Cycling has at its core a group of friends who all enjoy riding and racing together.

The groups focus is about "enjoying the shared experience of being on bikes together", supporting each other and our sponsors - Warmup NZ and enthuse media & events - and enjoying a coffee together.

Currently we enjoy our Sunday morning bunch rides (leaving from Fava Cafe in St Martins at 8am) as we have evolved more into a social group with less of a focus on racing; this can be translated into ‘we’ve got a bit older with changing priorities’ :-)

Since our first 'official race’ as a team in FEB 2009 we competed in the Benchmark and Calder Stewart series, Nelson’s Tour de Vineyard’s and Queenstown’s Tour de Lakes and racing in Canterbury with individual riders also racing in events throughout the country, including the NZ Club Nationals where team members were successful making the podium.

Sharing the ride as Warmup Cycling are Rob Woodgate, Tom Molloy, Kelly Chapman, John McKenzie, Darron Burns, David Roche, Stephen Mark, Glen Quantock, Mark Forsey, Greg Scott, Al Bush, Greg Manson, Stu Wise, Gerard Rooney, Kent Mahon and Sarah Hely
